Faculty of Business Informatics Students Successfully Present at National IT Conferences

A national young researchers’ conference on ‘Fundamental and Applied Problems of Mathematics, Mechanics, and Informatics’ recently took place in Perm. Students from the HSE Perm campus in business informatics and software engineering took an active part in the event.

Within the framework of a joint seminar of GAMES research group and research and training group “Empirical demand estimation” Svetlana Kuzmenkova, the 4th year student of “Economics” educational programme, presented intermediate results of a study dedicated to the influence of subscribers’ mobility on cellular communication services consumption.

Svetlana Suslova, Senior Research Fellow in the Division of Public-Private Partnership Studies at HSE - Perm, has completed an internship and held a series of research meetings with world-class experts in the economics of the nonprofit sector at the University of Padova.

HSE University District in Perm hosted the first International Scientific−Practical Conference to discuss the new stage of development of the University − School Cluster, investment in contemporary pre-school education and innovations in education in China and the US. Students on the MA Experience Economy: Hospitality and Tourism Management course at HSE’s Moscow campus, who graduated from the Management Faculty at HSE Perm have been praised by international experts for their contribution to major international conferences.

HSE Perm has hosted the second International Conference on Applied Research. The conference drew Russian and international experts. Participants discussed theoretical models of economic processes, public-private partnership, intellectual capital, market development etc.

The Higher School of Economics − Perm and the Group for Historical Research will hold the first International Conference on Ancient History under the title “Deformations and Crises of Ancient Civil Communities”. The Conference will be held from 2nd to 4th September, 2014 at the Higher School of Economics, Perm, with antiquity scholars from Russia and the United Kingdom.

The seminar will feature Skype-based conferences, roundtable discussions, and readings with well-known philosophy, cultural and religious scholars from Switzerland, the Netherlands, France, Israel, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, and Russia.
