Svetlana Suslova Completes Internship in Italy
Svetlana Suslova, Senior Research Fellow in the Division of Public-Private Partnership Studies at HSE - Perm, has completed an internship and held a series of research meetings with world-class experts in the economics of the nonprofit sector at the University of Padova.
Svetlana Suslova, Senior Research Fellow in the Division of Public-Private Partnership Studies at HSE - Perm, has completed an internship and held a series of research meetings with world-class experts in the economics of the nonprofit sector at the University of Padova.
During her internship, Suslova met Benedetto Gui and Ottorino Chillemi, Professors at the University of Padova and renowned experts in the economics of nonprofit organizations, as well as Paola Valbonesi, Academic Supervisor of the Division of Public-Private Partnership Studies. During the meetings, the researchers discussed problems of interaction between organizations and government, as well as the most relevant research directions in this area.
Suslova also talked to Carlo Borzaga, President of the European Research Institute on Cooperative and Social Enterprises (EURICSE). Professor Borzaga is a renowned expert in the field of nonprofit sector economics and social entrepreneurship.
While at the University of Padova, Suslova also took part in a research seminar in the Department of Economics and Management. During the event the researchers analyzed a report by Gianni de Fraja, Daniele Checchi and Stefano Verzillo entitled ‘Publish or Perish? Incentives and Careers in Italian Academia’.
Together with her colleague Anastasia Bozhya-Volya, Suslova conducted a study on coproduction in school education. The researchers focused on formal associations of students’ parents. Communication with foreign colleagues helped them find new directions for research.
