Labour market potential is a key factor influencing the inflow of foreign investments into a region. This was confirmed by a study carried out at HSE in Perm, based on data collected in Russian regions.
On 18 December, at the seminar organized under the authority of ECOBUS at the University of Vigo, Anna Bykova, Associate Professor of the School of Economics and Finance, Research Fellow of the International Laboratory of Intangible-driven Economy, presented the findings of the research conducted together with Carlos Jardon – “The mediation role of companies’ dynamic capabilities for business performance excellence: insights from foreign direct investments”.
From 29 November to 1 December Amedeo Napoli, head of the Orpailleur research group, Laboratory of Lorraine, gave a number of lectures on description logic for students of “Business-informatics” and “Software engineering” educational programmes.

24th International Conference on Teaching, Education and Learning (ICTEL) took place at the Imperial College London on 12-13 September. HSE-Perm was represented by Ekaterina Zagorodnova, Dean of the Part-Time Education Faculty of Economics and Management, Associate Professor of the School of Management.
The 2017 Biennial World Communication Association conference took place from 2nd to 6th of August in the American University of Central Asia (Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan). HSE-Perm was represented by academics from the School of Foreign Languages.
On June 23-24, the international conference ‘Economics of Football’ was held in Kazan. This event was organized by the Higher School of Economics (HSE), the New Economic School and Kazan Federal University. Angel Barajas, Dennis Coates, Elena Shakina, Petr Parshakov, Iuliia Naidenova and Anna Bykova, staff members of the International Laboratory of Intangible-driven Economy, participated in the conference. The researchers presented papers and worked as moderators, discussants and key speakers at various sessions and workshops.
International Laboratory of Intangible-driven Economy took part in a series of research seminars at HSE in Saint Petersburg and Moscow, and also presented research findings at XVIII April International Conference in Moscow.
