IDLab Research Seminars
HSE Campus in Perm has launched a series of research seminars at the International Laboratory of Intangible-driven Economy involving international experts.
Leading Research Fellow of the Laboratory Angel Barajas from the University of Vigo (Spain) and head of the sports economy section Dennis C. Coates, from the University of Maryland (US) were involved in the seminar series. The seminars look at scientific research and development plans for the Laboratory. Yulia Naidenova, Petr Parshakov, and Alexei Chmykhov presented their work on football sponsorship. IDLab staff discussed Angel Barajas' research into attendance at basketball matches in Spain.
The seminars will include discussion of:
- 'Academic contracts' (Elena Shakina, Laboratory Head, International Laboratory of Intangible-Driven Economy, Head of the Department of Management HSE Perm);
- 'Idea of the paper about E-sport' (Research Fellows at the International Laboratory of Intangible-driven Economy Petr Parshakov and Marina Zavertiaeva);
- Workshop for students (Research Fellow at the International Laboratory of Intangible-Driven Economy HSE Perm, Professor at the University of Maryland Dennis C. Coates);
- 'Impact of Industry Concentration on Innovation: Evidence from Russia' (Research Fellow at the International Laboratory of Intangible-Driven Economy HSE Perm and Associate Professor at the School of Economics and Finance Anna Bykova);
- 'Developing organizational learning in Russian business context. Paper after revision' (Research Fellow at the International Laboratory of Intangible-Driven Economy HSE Perm, Associate Professor at the School of Economics and Finance Mariya Molodchik);
- 'The growth effects of sport franchises: 15 years later' (Research Fellow at the International Laboratory of Intangible-Driven Economy HSE Perm, Professor at the University of Maryland Dennis C. Coates).

From June 14 to 18 the 3rd International Summer School on the Intangible-Driven Economy will take place. The Summer School aims to offer young researchers, MA students and graduate students the chance to develop research projects. Key speakers will include IDLab's leading researchers.
