In October 2024, Louis Vervoort, Associate Professor at the School of Philosophy and Cultural Studies of the Faculty of Humanities presented his report ‘Gettier's Problem and Quine's Epistemic Holism: A Unified Account’ at the Formal Philosophy seminar, which covered one of the basic problems of contemporary epistemology. What are the limitations of physics as a science? What are the dangers of AI? How to survive the Russian cold? Globalisation Has Failed to Reduce Inequality
Contrary to established theory, globalisation has increased, rather than reduced, inequality in emerging economies. To solve this problem, more opportunities should be created enabling people to acquire new skills. Nobel Prize laureate and Professor at Harvard, Eric S. Maskin, who is also Chief Research Fellow at the International Centre of Decision Choice and Analysis of the HSE Faculty of Economic Sciences and Honorary Professor at HSE University, shared his insights on the topic.

On October 20–22, the second International Conference on Experience Economy: Museum, Event, and Tourism Management was held at HSE University in Perm. Key talks were delivered by Andrea Rurale, the director of the Master’s in Arts Management and Administration at the Bocconi University School of Management, and Guillaume Tiberghien, University of Glasgow.

Results of Latest Collaborative Research Presented at HSE's April Conference
Members of the Sector of Public-Private Partership Research presented preliminary results of their latest collaborative research as part of HSE's April Conference. On 20.04.16, Sarah Busse Spencer gave the presentation on "Conditions for local territorial self-governance (TOS) in Russian Regions". Coauthors of the presentation are Olga Mayorova, Svetlana Suslova, Anastasia Bozhya-Volya and Ekaterina Schwartzaid. The presentation was given in the first panel of the three-day session entitled "Local Self-Governance and Civil Self-Organization", under the direction of Irina Mersianova.

A research seminar on ‘Public-private partnership: design and discussion’ took place at the HSE campus in Perm. The event was organized by the Division of Public-Private Partnership Studies. Russian, as well as international researchers from Italy, Sweden, and Great Britain, spoke on topical problems of public-private partnership.
