University of Lausanne (Switzerland) Invites to Take Part in Winter School "GLOBE - International Relations"
Winter school GLOBE is now accepting applications from PhD students intending to situate themselves within the IR discipline. Focus is made on recent epistemological advances in non-positivist scholarship delivers expertise through tailor-made roundtables, PhD presentations, walk & talk sessions and collective readings. The overall theme is on “Risk, crises and uncertain futures”.

Alina Kryuchkova, a third-year student of the programme “Economics”, has returned from the international academic mobility programme last summer, she has spent the spring semester at the Zagreb School of Economics and Management (ZSEM). There was no HSE student who remained indifferent after student exchange: this experience is always memorable. Alina shared her impressions about studying in Croatia and gave advice to other HSE students, who are also ready to take this opportunity.
On August 30, an adaptation event was held for newly arrived students who came to Perm from abroad to study. Within the admission campaign of foreign citizens 2019, the geography of applicants expanded significantly, and the International Office for the first time recruited freshmen from Mongolia, Syria, Morocco, Ghana, Georgia and Armenia. At the event, the freshmen met with the academic supervisors of their educational programmes, learned about the educational process and received valuable instructions on living in Perm and studying at HSE.
The Global Campus of Human Rights has developed a course aiming at providing training to civilian staff in election observation missions at the first steps of their career (i.e. short term observers). Selected applicants will be allowed to become aware of the role, the tasks and the status of international observers, and will be given a theoretical and practical training on election observation and election observation missions functioning.
The Bavarian Academic Center for Central, Eastern and Southeastern Europe (BAYHOST) invites graduates from Bulgaria, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Slovakia and Ukraine for a one-year scholarship program for the academic year 2020/21.
During one semester three students of the Tajik State University of Finance and Economics were studying at the Higher School of Economics in Perm on the educational programme "Economics" within the academic mobility programme. Zufar Kholmirzoev, Nasimjon Islomov and Mukhammad Niyozov shared their impressions about HSE and Perm.
During four months, students of the University of Durham (UK) studied Russian and history at the Higher School of Economics in Perm as part of 'Perm Term' programme (a semester in Perm). This programme was first organized by HSE in 2019 in cooperation with the School of Modern Languages and Cultures of the University of Durham. The semester came to an end, and students Phoebe, Athena, Madeleine and Eleanor shared their impressions of this experience.
The employees of Higher School of Economics in Perm Dmitry Kashin and Iuliia Babenko have visited the Kyrgyz Republic, the Republic of Tajikistan and the Republic of Uzbekistan within April as a part of the foreign applicants admission campaign 2019. They shared their impressions about exhibitions, “HSE Days, occupational guidance activities and entrance tests for international applicants.
