Orientation Session: an adaptation event for international students took place at HSE Perm
On August 30, an adaptation event was held for newly arrived students who came to Perm from abroad to study. Within the admission campaign of foreign citizens 2019, the geography of applicants expanded significantly, and the International Office for the first time recruited freshmen from Mongolia, Syria, Morocco, Ghana, Georgia and Armenia. At the event, the freshmen met with the academic supervisors of their educational programmes, learned about the educational process and received valuable instructions on living in Perm and studying at HSE.
Training Course for International Electoral Observers in Italy
The Global Campus of Human Rights has developed a course aiming at providing training to civilian staff in election observation missions at the first steps of their career (i.e. short term observers). Selected applicants will be allowed to become aware of the role, the tasks and the status of international observers, and will be given a theoretical and practical training on election observation and election observation missions functioning.
One-year Scholarship Programme Sponsored by the Free State of Bavaria

Perm Term: Durham University Students Share Their Impressions
During four months, students of the University of Durham (UK) studied Russian and history at the Higher School of Economics in Perm as part of 'Perm Term' programme (a semester in Perm). This programme was first organized by HSE in 2019 in cooperation with the School of Modern Languages and Cultures of the University of Durham. The semester came to an end, and students Phoebe, Athena, Madeleine and Eleanor shared their impressions of this experience.

Exchange Students from Europe and Asia at HSE Perm: First Impressions
In 2019 HSE Perm launched two international mobility programmes for hosting students from foreign universities. Exchange students from Tajikistan and the UK will spend the spring semester in Perm.
How to Participate in the International Academic Mobility Programmes? The Outcomes of the Master Class
Master class on the topic of the international academic mobility was held on February 21 at the HSE Perm. The opportunity to apply for a programme is provided only twice a year: in September and in February. Until March 10, master and bachelor students can submit an application for a mobility programme and spend the autumn semester 2019 abroad. During the master class students had the opportunity to talk with the experts and to go over the details.
