Movement Recovery after Stroke Depends on the Integrity of Connections between the Cerebral Cortex and the Spinal Cord
A team of scientists, with the first author from the HSE University, were investigating which factors are the most important for the upper limb motor recovery after a stroke. The study is published in Stroke, the world's leading journal for cerebrovascular pathology.
At the close of 2019, HSE University once again ranked first among Russian organizations in the RePEc/IDEAS (Research Papers in Economics) world ranking and advanced to a record-breaking 129th place. The ranking evaluates economic, academic, and research institutions based on their publication activity in economics.
PhD Sofya Kulikova, Senior Research Fellow of the HSE-Perm's Laboratory of Interdisciplinary Empirical Studies, read a popular science lecture based on the results of her own study in Lomonosov State University of Moscow. Such possibility was granted to the finalists of all-Russian contest of popular science articles “In simple words about complex things”.
