HSE University Strengthens Its Leading Position in Russian Rating of Entrepreneurial Universities

According to the rating by the Expert Analytical Centre, HSE University has become one of the best entrepreneurial universities in Russia, entering the top three and sharing 1st–3rd place with MIPT and St. Petersburg State University. The final rating included 43 Russian universities. The rating methodology is focused on startups founded by university graduates, the number of graduates to do so, and the volume of investment in such projects.

HSE University has placed in the top 250 universities worldwide in the QS Graduate Employability Rankings despite increased competition. A total of 786 universities were assessed for this year’s rankings—an increase over last year. The published list of 550 universities is also 10% larger than last year’s.

Despite increasingly growing competition, HSE University сonsistently ranks fourth among Russian universities and 120th among world’s top universities in the Moscow International Ranking ‘Three University Missions’ (MosIUR). In 2021, the total number of universities in the global ranking increased from 1,500 to 1,650 compared with last year.

HSE Campus in Perm to Promote Quality of Education in the Region

As part of his official visit to Perm, HSE Rector Nikita Anisimov met with Dmitry Makhonin, Governor of Perm Krai. They signed a cooperation agreement between HSE University and the Government of Perm Krai. HSE University has demonstrated explosive growth in the Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU) (Shanghai Ranking), improving its standing by as many as 200 places. The university climbed to the 601-700 group of ARWU and advanced from 7-8th to the 4-5th among Russian universities.

From the Appalachians to the Urals: Students from HSE Perm and Ohio University Promote Cross-Cultural Understanding During Summer Break

Students are taking part in the Bobcat-Crow Cultural Exchange Lab (BCCEL), which brings together twenty-six students from the two universities in a weekly cross-cultural exchange on Zoom. During the virtual exchange, Ohio and HSE Perm students share their views on topics such as cultural values, the American and Russian education systems, stereotypes, national symbols and holidays.
