Perm Term: Durham University Students Share Their Impressions

During four months, students of the University of Durham (UK) studied Russian and history at the Higher School of Economics in Perm as part of 'Perm Term' programme (a semester in Perm). This programme was first organized by HSE in 2019 in cooperation with the School of Modern Languages and Cultures of the University of Durham. The semester came to an end, and students Phoebe, Athena, Madeleine and Eleanor shared their impressions of this experience.

‘Nitra is the City of St. Cyril and Methodius’: A Lecture by Professor Ján Zozuľak

On June 6, Ján Zozuľak, professor from the Konstantin the Philosopher University in Nitra, Slovakia, visited HSE-Perm. The professor delivered a short lecture on the history of his city. Next year students in history from HSE-Perm will be able to go to Nitra on an exchange through the Erasmus+ programme.

HSE Continues its Ascent in QS World University Rankings by Subject

The latest results of the QS World University Rankings by Subject demonstrate that Russian universities are continuing to make great strides in international rankings. Among the Russian universities that made the rankings, HSE tops the list with 16 specific subjects and 3 broad subject areas entering the rankings. Compared to last year, HSE has improved its performance in almost all subjects.

The winners are 16 staff members in seven ‘golden’ categories and 21 students in the ‘Silver Nestling’ category.  The winners of the ‘Golden Citation’, which is awarded to the most cited HSE scholar, have also been announced. The awards ceremony was held on November 27, on the HSE's birthday.
