Junior Research Fellow from IDLab Conducted a Unique Lecture for School Students
Evgeniya Andreevna Shenkman, a junior research fellow at IDLab and a senior lecturer in the Department of Economics and Finance, delivered a popular science lecture on game theory and its real-life applications at HSE University in Perm School. Evgeniya engaged students with the basic principles of game theory through an interactive approach, focusing on the well-known "prisoner's dilemma." The students not only discovered various behavioral strategies but also had the chance to apply them in practice by participating in the “Evolution of Trust” game.
This event provided an excellent opportunity for participants to familiarize themselves with game theory's fundamental concepts and apply these in a real gaming process. The analysis of strategies chosen by participants in single and repeated games deepened the understanding of decision-making mechanisms and strategic interaction.
