Dolores Sanchez Bengoa Gives Master Classes
On December 18–19, 2012, HSE – Perm hosted master classes given by a L ecturer/ Trainer of Intercultural Management and Intercultural Knowledge transfer Dolores Sanchez Bengoa from the University of Applied Sciences (Leichtenstein & Vorarlberg, Austria).
On December 18–19, 2012, HSE – Perm hosted master classes given by a L ecturer/ Trainer of Intercultural Management and Intercultural Knowledge transfer Dolores Sanchez Bengoa from the University of Applied Sciences (Leichtenstein & Vorarlberg, Austria).
The classes are part of the course Cross-Cultural Communication in Management taught to 3rd year students of the Management Faculty.
The key topics touched upon in the master classes included the influence of national culture on management of international companies and multicultural teams, particular characteristics of cross-cultural communication, and adaptation issues in international environment.
As part of experiential learning methods, the students were offered a number of case studies, a business game and assignment for submission, which was aimed at reinforcing the students’ knowledge and skills in cross-cultural interaction and adaptation of cases.
The students’ active participation and high grades received in the classes show that the material was presented effectively. It also demonstrated our students’ good knowledge of the foreign language, as well as their keen interest in international business issues.
