Professor of University of Vigo Angel Barajas Visits HSE – Perm

In November, Perm campus hosted a visit by Professor of the University of Vigo Angel Barajas who is a regular guest at HSE –Perm. He gave a series of lectures and workshops in Business Valuation for Economics undergraduates.

In November, Perm campus hosted a visit by Professor of the University of Vigo Angel Barajas who is a regular guest at HSE –Perm. He gave a series of lectures and workshops in Business Valuation for Economics undergraduates.

Also Management Faculty students attended a master class in Sport Management, which is one of Professor Barahas’s research interests. The students gave Anhel a warm welcome. They enjoyed all the tasks given by the Professor and were interested in further cooperation in writing term and graduation papers.

The University of Vigo and HSE – Perm have had a fruitful cooperation for more than two years, which was enforced by a Frame Agreement executed in 2010. Professor Barajas takes part in regular education programs. Also he became one of the Managers of the Intellectual Capital Summer School organized in July, 2012 in HSE – Perm.

Today, major challenges in regards to cooperation between the universities are establishment of a joint Master’s Program “Sport Economics & Management” whose director is Professor Barajas at the University of Vigo and launch of an international research project within the framework of theLaboratory of investment analysis on empirical corporate finance. Perm campus has already laid some scientific foundation in this area. In particular, members of the Financial Management Faculty have published and are preparing a number of articles together with Professor Barajas for joint publication in international peer-reviewed journals.
