HSE-Perm’s Professors and Students at 21st IEEE Conference on Business Informatics
From July 15th to 17th 2019, Aleksey Kychkin, Associate Professor of the HSE-Perm’s Department of Information Technologies in Business, and Elvira Neganova, Master’s student of Information Analytics in Enterprise Management, took part in the 21st IEEE Conference on Business Informatics (CBI).
IEEE CBI is a leading international forum which presents cutting-edge developments in business informatics, the results of studies in modeling, engineering and architecture of enterprises, business process management, information systems engineering, artificial intelligence for business, information management, business analytics and data analysis, industry 4.0 (industrial applications), data-driven business applications, computer sciences and informatics, and digital transformation.
The conference is traditionally supported by IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers). This year it was held in Russia for the first time, at HSE University.
The results of research by HSE-Perm’s team consisting of Aleksey Kychkin, Alexander Deryabin, Elvira Neganova and Vladlena Markvirer on IoT-based Energy Management Assistant Architecture Design were presented in the ‘Business Innovations and Digital Transformation’ section. The paper was well received. Aleksey Kychkin was also a section chair.
The paper was dedicated to the architecture of an information system for power management using IoT (Internet of Things) technologies, such as power planning and power monitoring. Models for building target functions of power consumption and sets of key power performance indicators implemented with the use of the ThingsBoard IoT platform were presented. The study was carried out within the HSE-Perm’s high priority research area ‘Cyber Physical Systems’.
