Vera Fedotova at The European Conference on Education
Vera Fedotova, Senior Lecturer at the HSE-Perm’s School of Management, took part in The European Conference on Education and presented her paper ‘Prognostic competence and coping strategies of Arabic-speaking and Indian students with regard to their cultural affiliation’.
The conference took place at Birbeck State University in London (UK) from July 19th to 21st, 2019. More than 150 researchers from different countries participated in the event. The conference aimed to give an opportunity for academics from all over the world and from different fields of study to share their research in education and to receive feedback during the discussions.
Vera Fedotova presented some results of her study which was dedicated to the adaptation of foreign students to the educational environment of a Russian university. In particular, she presented the results of a study of prognostic competence and coping strategies of foreign students from India and Arabic countries.
The paper was met by international colleagues with great interest. There were a lot of comments which will be very useful for further research with other groups of foreign students who study in Russia. There was also discussion of plans for further research collaboration with colleagues from the UK, India, Arabic countries, and China into adaptation mechanisms of foreign students.
