Creating a Future Workforce for the Digital Economy: First Graduates and New Programmes of the Project
HSE-Perm has joined Perm IT-University network. This project is being implemented with support from the Ministry of Information Development and Communications of Perm region under the regional project ‘A Workforce for the Digital Economy’ of the national programme ‘Digital Economy of the Russian Federation’.
Initial Results
In May 2019, a demo-school, IoT (Internet of Things) Analytics, was held at HSE-Perm. Participation in the school proved to be very competitive: for 15 places, the school received a total of 242 applications. The programme’s industry partner was the Simpl company, and the school drew both HSE-Perm students and lecturers alike.
The HSE team of lecturers presented the learning outcomes of the demo-school. In addition, Ilona Kolos, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Professional Retraining, and Stanislav Ivashov, founder of LikeMarketing agency, presented the ‘Digital Marketing’ programme. You can learn more about the results of the project on the website of the Governor and the Government of Perm region.
New Projects
From June 17 to 27, HSE-Perm, together with the company, INSYTE Electronics, will hold the ‘School of Integrators of Smart Homes’. There are 15 positions available, so those who want to participate are strongly encouraged to submit their applications as soon as possible. Every attendee will be able to assemble his or her own ‘smart home’ using the equipment provided.
The national programme, Digital Economy, is not only open to those who already possess a deepknowledge of IT, but students of all abilities. For example, on June 5, HSE-Perm, in collaboration with the LikeMarketing internet agency, began a popular course ‘Digital Marketing’ for students with disabilities.
