Professor Ludo Pyis Conducts Seminar at West-Ural Office of Sberbank

The West-Ural Office of Sberbank, Perm has hosted a meeting between Professor Ludo Pyis and over 30 executives and senior officials of the bank. Ludo Pyis led a two-hour seminar discussion on “Intellectual capital accounting: myth or reality?” The meeting was arranged by Nanuli Popkhadze, Director of the Department for Production System and Banking Processes at the West-Ural Office of Sberbank, Russia.

During the seminar, Ludo Pyis told the attendees about the increasing role of intangibles as a means of creating a competitive advantage for modern firms. He also shared some of the experiences of a joint effort between AREOPA (a company he set up in 1992 and which specializes in intellectual capital accounting and knowledge management) and major European banks and gave an outline of fundamentally new approaches to crediting taking into consideration the customer’s intellectual capital value.
