‘The Human Dimension of Time’, an international research and educational seminar, will take place on the HSE’s Perm campus from August 27-30, 2014. The seminar will feature Skype-based conferences, roundtable discussions, and readings with well-known philosophy, cultural and religious scholars from Switzerland, the Netherlands, France, Israel, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, and Russia.

The goal of the seminar is to study the means by which the person has been integrated into the ontological temporal schemes of different eras – from antiquity to the present day. Seminar participants will focus on the options for the person to search for himself in time in the context of eternity. The seminar will include microanalysis of specific embodiments of temporal-anthropological constructions. Participants are expected to work with texts and historical sources.

Texts from the best presentations will be prepared for peer review and subsequent publication in leading academic journals.
