HSE University-Perm and the Training Centre of the Uzbek Ministry of Finance Sign Cooperation Agreement

HSE University in Perm has become the first academic partner of the Training Centre under the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The parties have signed a cooperation agreement in education and research. 

During their visit to Uzbekistan, Galina Volodina, Director of HSE University-Perm, and Deputy Director Elena Shadrina had a meeting with Gulnora Rakhimova, Deputy Minister of Finance of Uzbekistan. The meeting was also attended by Iroda Khamidova, Director of the Training Centre under the Ministry of Finance, Ajiniyaz Kaipnazarov, Director of the International Financial Relations Department of the Ministry, Aliya Mingalieva, Deputy Director of the Human Resources Development and Management Department, and Sharof Rustamov, Head of Public Procurement.

The parties agreed to cooperate in several areas and signalled their intentions by signing a cooperation agreement. The agreement provides for the development of training and advanced training programmes in finance and public procurement, experience sharing and internships for specialists, and the implementation of shared educational and research programmes. The parties also plan to hold various events, including conferences, seminars, and roundtables, as well as conduct research and release publications.

We have been cooperating with the Training Centre for quite a while. Over the last three years, we have run two seminars on anti-corruption measures and transparency in public procurement. The conclusion of the cooperation agreement between our organisations anchors our intentions and plans at the institutional level.
