INSYTE Electronics and HSE-Perm to Create Smart City Solutions Centre

This centre will focus on the development of new solutions for ‘smart home’, ‘smart city’, power management platforms based on the Internet of things, 5G, LoRaWan, and NB-IoT. The centre will bring together INSYTE specialists, talented students in the IT-sphere, graduates, young researchers and experienced professionals from all across the Perm region.

The centre will also become a point of communication with leading foreign developers and producers of ‘smart city’ technologies, in order to conduct joint work and to export Russian solutions to foreign markets. INSYTE Electronics will provide the centre with professional ‘smart home’ packages, software, and equipment for power monitoring and control.

“The ‘Smart city’ solutions market in Russia is growing rapidly, and needs both brand-new ideas and commercially efficient ‘packaged’ variants of already existing solutions,” says Sergei Gribanov, General Director of INSYTE Electronics. “What is also important, is that a ‘smart city’ can provide solutions to pressing problems of municipal infrastructure, money and power saving. That is why it is so vital to unite the resources of higher education and producers of technologies, so that the best specialists in this sphere stay in Russia.”

Successful young specialists from the engineering centre will later be employed in representative offices of INSYTE Electronics.
