Natalya Yakusheva Spoke at Research Seminar of School of Management

On March 6, Natalya Yakusheva, professor of the University of Helsinki,  Helsinki  Institute of Sustainability, presented her paper “Sustainability research at the University of Helsinki: what is on the agenda? Perspectives from political scientist.”

Natalya talked about lines of research which are topical in Europe from the perspective of sustainable development concept.

Sustainable development unites economic, environmental and social trends of research. It is one of the most important and significant issues in today’s agenda.

The main lines of research are state and municipal regulation of using natural resources, sustainable universities, logistics, conduct of business, etc.

Professor Yakusheva presented her own studies connected with sustainable tourism and regional regulation of forest industry in Finland. She also discussed lines of future joint research with lecturers of the School of management.
