Charity Week at HSE Perm
The following events were held during the recent HSE Perm charity week: three charity visits, ten workshops, a charity photo session, a cinema night, clothing and food fair, a charity concert, a round table on volunteering, and a series of online auctions.
HSE volunteers organized a wonderful bubble show at the department of palliative care for children at the clinical hospital no. 13.
‘The children found themselves in a fairy tale, in which they travelled on air bubbles, sang songs, and received balloon multi-colored dogs and cats. On that day Maxim, a 6-year old smiling boy, was celebrating his birthday, so he received a small gift and a cake. It's great that we managed to bring joy not only to children but also to their parents and hospital staff!", — said a volunteer.
HSE volunteers also visited the residents of Verkhne Kuryinskiy gerontological centre, where the students organized a concert featuring performances by some of the HSE’s best musicians and the vocal group ‘Vesna’, who sang Soviet military songs.
HSE volunteers also paid special attention to animals and visited a municipal shelter for cats and dogs. The students purchased 30 kg of food for the puppies there as well as some medication; additional funds were spent on collars and leashes for dogs.
As part of the charity week, volunteers also collected clothing and money for needy people. The students managed to collect 29,570 rubles and handed over 50 kg of clothing, 30 kg of food, 10 gallons of household chemicals and over 10 kg toys for low-income families via the public organization ‘Family Territory’ . Additional funds were transferred to families with newborn children.
The volunteers also collected 382 kg of waste paper and over 100 batteries for recycling.
