About science in simple words

PhD Sofya Kulikova, Senior Research Fellow of the HSE-Perm's Laboratory of Interdisciplinary Empirical Studies, became a winner of all-Russian contest of popular scientific articles “In simple words about complex things”.

About science in simple words

Lomonosov State University of Moscow and RUSNANO Fund for Infrastructure and Educational Programs were the organizers of the contest. Papers from students, postgraduate students, young scientists on different disciplines such as chemistry, physics, biology, medical diagnostics, biotechnologies, ecology etc. were accepted for the contest. One’s own publication or discipline-related publications in peer-reviewed journals must be the basis for an article. At the same time the text must be understandable for a wide audience, not only for specialists in this area.

The winners were determined on the basis of peer review of articles by special jury. Among 6 best works is the article of Sofya Kulikova “How to measure the brain development?”.

As one of the winners, Sofya will read a popular scientific lecture based on the results of her own study. The lecture will take place at Lomonosov State University of Moscow within the framework of “Open nanotechnological conference classes for schoolchildren, students and lecturers”.

We congratulate Sofya on the victory!
