Eight master’s students of the HSE - Perm campus undertook study at the University of Essex. They were faced with a challenge to prove that the Higher School of Economics developed its students into active, goal-oriented learners who were well-prepared and capable of putting their ideas into practice through implementing projects. Having spent 3 months in the very heart of England, they finally returned to their alma mater.
HSE – Perm Director Galina Volodina personally welcomed back the pioneers to thank them for their contribution to the development of cooperation between the two universities: - I am really proud of you for being very active students with excellent basic training. Well done! – she said.
The students shared their most vivid impressions of their stay in England. Alexander Kozhevnikov, a 2nd year master's student said: - It was like going beyond the usual borders - not in the ordinary sense of going to another country, but it was a journey beyond yourself, your abilities and self-awareness. It is about being aware of what you are capable of, and the prospects that lie ahead of you. I think this is what we are most grateful for in this programme.
