Research of Alina Buzanakova (GAMES research assistant and junior participant of Research Training Group “Empirical demand estimator”) was awarded as the best bachelor’s research paper at Economical Analysis school in 2016.
On May 31, 2016 the students’ workshop took place as a part of Economical Analysis school, carried out by Association of independent centers for economical analysis. 6 best papers were selected for on-site participation, submitted for the contest by students from the best universities of Russia. Students presented their researches focused on the analysis of economical and social problems. All the papers were assessed by competent experts who also expressed their opinions in person about the ways of papers promotion and the possibilities of their further publication. The contest winners were determined within two categories: bachelor’s best paper and master’s best paper.
It is pleasant to note that the paper of Alina Buzanakova, 4th year student of “Economics” educational program in NRU HSE-Perm, was awarded as the bachelor’s best paper. Alina also works as a research assistant in the Laboratory for Applied markets and Enterprises Studies, where she carries out this research. Alina assessed demand function of Perm opera and ballet theatre spectators, and the results received allowed her to formulate recommendations on the theatre’s price policy optimization. The paper merited unanimous appreciation of experts, advice on the further research line and the recommendation on the paper publication in one of the leading Russian economic journals.
