The Autumn Course-Choice Campaign for the First Semester Has Begun

The Autumn Course-Choice Campaign for the First Semester Has Begun

© HSE University/ Evgenia Bashkardina

Until September 14, first-year bachelor’s and specialist students can choose English language courses, while second-years can select a general elective course they haven’t taken before. Master’s students are also able to choose a MAGOLEGO course, and first-years of all programmes can choose electives if their curriculum allows for it.

All HSE students must participate in the campaign and build an individual curriculum for the next six months.

Individual curricula are formed in SmartWay, a tool for choosing courses and groups. The system also shows the selection of courses according to the student’s individual parameters.

The course choice campaign is organised as follows:

Preparation

September 7, 7:30 pm–September 8, 12:00 pm (MSK)

Students will be able to preview the list of available courses, their schedule and details, and view selection criteria (if applicable).

Course choice

September 8, 12:30–11:59 pm (MSK)

Students will be able to apply for courses, including those with preliminary selection procedures. Selection criteria are included in the course summary. By default, the selection is based on the student ranking.

Timetable choice

September 14, 10:50 am–11:59 (MSK)

Students can choose a timetable for elective courses, as well as cancel their application and choose new courses out of those that still have vacant slots.

The complete campaign timeline and a manual for SmartWay system are available here.

If you have any general questions about the course selection process, please contact the Trajectory Service Centre. If you have any technical questions, please contact SmartWay support.
