Students Zufar Kholmirzoev, Nasimjon Islomov and Mukhammad Niyozov of Tajik State University of Finance and Economics spent a semester at HSE University in Perm through an exchange programme. Before heading back to Tajikistan, the students sat down with HSE News Service to talk about what they thought about life at HSE Perm and whether it was hard to adapt to the new environment.
Someone who graduated from HSE in 2013, managed 5 exams in one year, started a career with KPMG company and teaches at his alma mater, always has something to talk about with current students. HSE alumnus Marat Khamzin (Economics, 2013), discussed what distinguishes HSE students and how to effectively prepare for exams.
On September 19-22, Dean Fantazzini, Associate Professor, Deputy Head of Moscow School of Economics, Moscow State University’s Chair of Econometrics and Mathematical Methods in Economics, visited HSE Perm. This visit was organized by Agata Lozinskaia, Associate Professor of the School of Economics and Finance, and was aimed at developing research cooperation and enriching educational programmes.
The HSE has climbed to 84th position in the Young Universities Times Higher Education Ranking. The ranking assesses universities that were founded less than 50 years ago according to methodology used in the main THE ranking, which is published in autumn.
On April 11-13 the world econometrics championship, ‘Econometric Game 2018’ took place in Amsterdam. HSE-Perm was represented by undergraduate and Master’s students.
The 5th Writing Symposium took place on April 5-6 in Göttingen (Germany). It was dedicated to integrating multilingual writing in international universities.
On 18 December, at the seminar organized under the authority of ECOBUS at the University of Vigo, Anna Bykova, Associate Professor of the School of Economics and Finance, Research Fellow of the International Laboratory of Intangible-driven Economy, presented the findings of the research conducted together with Carlos Jardon – “The mediation role of companies’ dynamic capabilities for business performance excellence: insights from foreign direct investments”.
HSE-Perm and the University of Padova have been cooperating for the last five years. The cooperation started in the sphere of research within the HSE-Perm’s Centre for Private-Public Interactions.
The 1st International Conference on Corpus Analysis in Academic Discourse took place on 22-24 November in Valencia (Spain). HSE-Perm was represented by Elizaveta Smirnova, Associate Professor of the School of Foreign Languages.
