Step 3. Application Evaluation
Your application will be evaluated by the admission committee of your chosen degree programme. HSE will be holding its special admission campaign for international students and your application may be considered for both a state-funded place (full-tuition waiver) and a fee-paying place.
International students must submit applications, as follows:
November 1, 2019 – August 14, 2020
Please note that the committee’s decision, which shall be made upon reviewing your application, will be posted in your personal account. The review of your application should take up to 2 weeks.
If you have chosen two different programmes, you need to take exams in all subjects of the chosen programmes according to the list of exams (1 subject is taken 1 time).
Registration for exams occurs after the selection of programmes. If among the suggested test dates there are no convenient ones, you choose from the offered, with the possibility of replacement. The schedule is updated monthly.
If you select taking exams by personal attendance the results will be displayed in your personal account within 2 weeks after HSE administers all the exams in a particular country.
Online entrance exams are carried out through HSE’s information resources and the Examus observation service. You will receive an email with your ID and password to get an access to the online education system.
Make sure your computer meets the Examus system requirements:
- Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 8.1, Windows 10 or Mac OS (version 10.9 or updated);
- Google Chrome web browser (the latest version)
- a built-in or external webcam;
- Internet connection of 1 mbps or faster.
When online exams results are ready they will be indicated in User's account within 1 week.
If you are the holder of the certificate of the international exam in English and / or Mathematics, the results of these examinations can be recalculated in accordance with the grading scale.
Potential outcomes of your application:
- to be recommended for a state-funded place;
- to recommend an applicant for a fee-paying place;
- to be denied.
As soon as you find out the outcome of your application, proceed to Step 4.
