Научные семинары для преподавателей «Globalization and Perm State University: Creating curriculum and syllabi for the world» и «Presenting in English: Theory and Practice». Ведущий — Dr. Shwarzer (PHd in Education, USA)

 

The purpose of this five day 15 hour workshop is to discuss some theoretical and practical applications related to the internationalization of the curriculum.  Many major forces are impacting the way that European universities in general and Russian universities in particular are designing their curriculum (Erasmus, Pisa, Bologna, etc.). The purpose of this workshop is to discuss major curricular ideas that could help guide the development of curricula that can be transferred and comprehended around the world.  

Up-to-date principles of student involvement  such as Universal Design for Learning (UDL); Project based learning (PBL); formative and summative assessments as well as criteria based evaluations will be discussed.  Professors will be encouraged to share their own curriculum and to design new ones according to the insights gathered during the workshop.  

2. Presenting in English: Theory and Practice 

 

The purpose of this two day six hour workshop is to combine cutting edge theoretical ideas with practical applications for professors in all fields of studies interested in presenting in English at international conferences.  During the workshop we will share some theoretical underpinnings about presenting in English as a Second Language. Moreover, practical and hands on opportunities to practice academic oral language presentations in English will be available for the participants.

Семинар будет проходить ежедневно с 15.00 до 18.00 в первом корпусе (ул. Студенческая, 38).
