Information for potential partners

Dear representatives of business, public authorities and non-profit organisations, our group is engaged in projects connected with studying of behaviour of economic agents (individuals, households, companies) in different markets. The key feature of our projects is data-driven modelling of real behaviour of subjects (with the possibility of survey data implementation in a model). We have two basic formats of interaction with our partners:

- The first format is joint research. It assumes the availability of partner’s data which are interesting for us and the lack of strict time requirements. Then a project can be included in the subject matter of the group’s basic researches and performed on a free-of-charge basis with involvement of students under the control of key research fellows. The topics of such projects are subject to approval but the group does not undertake strict obligations in terms of deadlines and results. In other words, we make studies which have academic importance and share the results.

- The second format is a classical consulting project when a requirements specification is formed together with a partner; the specification contains the requirements to deadlines and results of a project, and then a contract is signed. Such projects are commercial. Our main competitive advantages in consulting are the following: we do not use off-the-shelf models, instead we develop a custom solution for a certain client based on the cutting edge international experience; unlike consulting companies we do not include costs of aborted projects in the price of an hour, on the contrary, we finance some part of development costs from the group’s research budget, that’s why our prices are less than competitives’ while the quality is comparable.
