IT System Development for Business
The programme is built on the principle of a broad bachelor's degree and is aimed at training specialists in business analytics and software development, including enterprise architecture design, organisation of the life cycle of information systems, analytical support for decision-making processes, the development and implementation of IS and ICT in business, and IT project management.
Such specialists are in demand in connection with the development of the programming market, the informatisation of government structures, the opening of IT technoparks and the digital transformation of business.

What will I study?
Students receive fundamental knowledge in the field of software development, programming languages and data analysis. Graduates have knowledge in the field of informatics, management, economics and make up the most demanded segment of IT specialists.
The education system consists of the main subjects and disciplines of choice, which allows to implement individual educational trajectories:
-"Analytics in IT" with the possibility of obtaining a diploma in the direction 38.03.05 "Business Informatics";
-"Development of software systems" with the possibility of obtaining a diploma in the direction 09.03.04 "Software engineering";
-"Information systems life cycle management" with the possibility of obtaining a diploma in the directions 38.03.05 "Business informatics", 09.03.04 "Software engineering".
During the 1st and 2nd years, students receive mathematical training, study the basics of programming, economic and managerial disciplines. During the 3rd and 4th years, students get acquainted with disciplines related to modeling and managing various types of business processes, programming, designing databases and data warehouses, enterprise architecture. They also have industrial and undergraduate practice in leading IT companies.

What are the advantages of the programme?
Internationalleveleducation. The Higher School of Economics uses the best world experience in higher education when preparing students. The curriculum complies with international recommendations for teaching computer science in higher educational institutions in the field of Computer Science.
DiplomaoftheleadinguniversityinRussia. All graduates of the National Research University Higher School of Economics, regardless of the campus where they study, receive a diploma of a single sample. In addition, graduates receive a European Diploma Supplement.
Participationinrealprojects. Students work on projects from leading IT companies, forming a professional portfolio during their studies.
Obtainingthecompetenciesofthe "second" profession. In addition to studying professional disciplines, students have the opportunity to get a "second" profession. Minor is a combination of four disciplines that are not related to the main field of study and allows students to gain basic knowledge in other subject areas (Finance, Management, Law, etc.).
Academicmobility. Students can study free of charge at other HSE campuses. Duration — from one and a half months to a year.
At each stage of training, students do projects — real tasks that programmers face in their professional activities. As part of the research seminar, which lasts 4 years, students learn to carry out research work, publicly present the results of their projects.
Graduates are in demand both in large IT companies involved in the development of software systems, and in IT departments of general-purpose companies that require the creation and implementation of software (banking organizations, industrial enterprises, consulting firms, etc.).
