Next week will be a non-work week for all HSE students. HSE Rector Yaroslav Kuzminov signed the order ‘On Measures for Implementing the Decree of the President of the Russian Federation of March 25, 2020 No. 206 “On the Announcement of Non-Working Days in the Russian Federation”’.

All HSE students and graduate students will have the week of March 28 - April 5, 2020 off.

How the Non-Work Week Will Be Implemented at HSE

The Academic Studies Office has prepared guidelines student-instructor communication during the mandated week off.

Teaching staff are strongly discouraged from visiting campus. All classes scheduled to take place during the non-work week—including online classes, tests, and exams—are cancelled.

In order to prevent lags in the educational process, instructors may hold consultations with their students regarding coursework, assignments, research papers, and final theses. The University recommends that faculty communicate this possibility to their students in LMS and indicate possible times and means of communication for the consultations. Instructors are also encouraged to prepare teaching materials for their courses that they are conducting in an online format.

Students are encouraged to continue their studies at home and not to visit HSE buildings. They can also contact teachers for advice.
