Step 3. Application Evaluation

Your application will be evaluated by the admission committee of your chosen degree programme. HSE will be holding its special admission campaign for international students and your application may be considered for both a state-funded place (full-tuition waiver) and a fee-paying place.

Please note that the committee’s decision, which shall be made upon reviewing your application, will be posted in your personal account. The review of your application should take up to 2 weeks. 

If any additional information or documents must be submitted, the application process may take longer, and, as such, the final decision will be made after the submission of all necessary documents. The criteria for the entrance tests of competitive selection (portfolio) can be found here.

Prepare for an Interview:

Applicants to Master’s programmes at HSE may be asked to pass an individual online interview with representatives of the chosen Master’s programme. Programme coordinators will only contact those candidates who meet the established eligibility criteria on the basis of their portfolio evaluation.

Based on the results of your application evaluation, the decision of the degree programme’s admission committee shall be posted in your personal account, as follows:

• recommend for admission to a state-funded place;
• recommend for admission to a fee-paying place;
• denied.

If you select 2 different programmes and your application is rejected by the first programme, it will be nevertheless automatically considered for the second one.
