Visa Support

Participants from outside Russia will have to obtain a visa and their application for it will need to be accompanied by a formal letter of invitation which HSE-Perm will supply. 

Students participating in the Summer School need a Student visa.  Please see a list of coutries citizens of which can enter RF without a visa. Dates of visa validity will correspond with the dates mentioned in your letter of invitation issued by the Russian Federal Migration Service agency or in your official letter of invitation from HSE University.

HSE – Perm provides an official letter of invitation for visa application at Russian Consular offices abroad. Please note that letters of invitation for EU citizens are issued in up to 15 days (by HSE University) and for nationals of other countries (including USA and Canada) – in 45 days.  

Please be aware that your international passport should have at least two blank pages for visas. If you apply for a student visa, your passport must be valid for at least 1.5 years after the effective date of your Russian visa.

A normal application procedure at the Russian Consular office takes approximately 14 calendar days.

Please bring your passport and the migration card (you will get it upon arrival at the airport) on the first day of the Summer School at the University. We will need those in order for us to register you with the Russian Migration Service.

To allow time for the issuing of the letter of invitation and for application for a visa, we need to know of intending participants from outside Russia not later than May 05, 2019.
