The School of Economics and Finance was established in 2014 through a merger of the Departments of Economics Theory, Accounting and Auditing, Economic Modelling, and Financial Management. The School is headed by Tatiana Bukina.
The aim of the School is to create and develop a community of academics and professional practitioners from the fields of theoretical and applied economics, corporate finance and financial markets.

Scientific Seminar "Problems and Pathways of the Russian and Western Economies"
Dmitry Vyacheslavovich Timofeev plans to present his perspective on the ongoing processes in the Russian and global economy. According to his assumptions, economic growth in Russia may significantly accelerate, making it probable for Russia to achieve the standard of living of Western European countries (Spain, France, Italy) by 2035. Topics planned for discussion include cross-border capital flows, interest rates, savings, investment activity, and other factors of economic growth. Issues related to economic modeling and political aspects of macroeconomic regulation will be indirectly addressed.
