HSE Moves up 10 Positions in QEECA Ranking
On its 25th anniversary, the Higher School of Economics (HSE) took 25th place in the QS EECA (Emerging Europe & Central Asia) Ranking, thus improving its result by 10 positions as compared with last year. This ranking includes 300 positions and takes into account higher education institutions in transitional European and Central Asian countries.
A total of 97 Russian universities were ranked, with 13 of them appearing in the ranking’s Top-50.
The QS EECA Ranking was first compiled in 2014, with 100 universities. It was expanded last year to include 300 positions.
Earlier this year, HSE seriously enhanced its positions in the three leading global rankings. HSE appeared in 13 subject and two subject area rankings in the QS World University Ranking, thus demonstrating the best results among the Project 5-100 universities. Furthermore, it was in the Top-100 ranking for three subjects – Economics & Econometrics, Politics & International Studies, and Sociology. In addition, HSE appears in three Times Higher Education rankings by subject: Business & Economics (101-125 group), Arts & Humanities (176-200), and Social Sciences (176-200). In the ARWU ranking, where HSE first appeared in 2017, the University is present in four subjects: Sociology (51-75 group), Political Sciences (101-150), Mathematics (101-150), and Economics (201-300).
