As part of the 'Managing Human Resources' course, HSE - Perm has hosted a lecture by Academic Supervisor and Leading Researcher of the Research Group for Public-Private Interactions, Associate Professor at the Faculty of Economics and Management of the University of Padova (Italy), Prof. Paola Valbonesi.

Prof. Valbonesi gave third-year students at the Faculty of Management an overview of international approaches to managing human resources. Her lecture focused on institutional economics and considered issues relating to the economically effective use of human resources.

Prof. Valbonesi told students about the peculiarities involved in building models of agent relations and developing performance related remuneration systems, issues of post-contract opportunism in orgnisations, and also relational contracts. She noted that the international approach focused on building internal communications systems, with the parties' interaction based on trust and mutual understanding. Many Russian companies are also working actively along these lines, and managing human resources is becoming a crucial part of developing their potential.
